Tash and Dash — Yeah but no

Tash and Dash

TASH: Hi, my name is Tash.
DASH: And my name is Dash.
TASH: We’re 6-year-old squirrel twins and we go to preschool.
DASH: Although I’m older of course.
TASH: No you’re not, we were born at exactly the same time. But of course I’m smarter, I’m more like Mum.
DASH: You mean I am, I look a lot like her. Mum is a teacher at the Gadget Island school.
TASH: She moved here like fifty years ago.
DASH: No she didn’t, Mum came here to train to be a teacher when she was 20, and now she’s 40.
TASH: Back then Mummy still lived in the Other World.
DASH: Yeah, they were like penpals then.
TASH: We have two mums, so we each have our own.
DASH: That’s not true, we share them both.
TASH: Yeah, yeah. Our mummy is also really good at sending letters and climbing.
DASH: Like me, I can climb higher than you.
TASH: I’m better with my hands than you, sometimes I help mummy with the sorting. Nowadays she runs the post office on Gadget Island.
DASH: I want to start school already.
TASH: I’ve already started a bit, sometimes I secretly sneak away from preschool.
DASH: Yeah, and I go with you.
TASH: We wait for the older ones in the school yard.
DASH: We can learn all kinds of exciting stuff from the older ones.
TASH: Like that things online can be seen all over the world.
DASH: But that’s not really true.
TASH: Yes it is, you don’t know anything.
DASH: I do, I know that there are big tunnels under the whole world, built especially for the internet, and that’s how all the information travels. And nowadays boats and planes are guided by remote control.
TASH: But that’s not true.
DASH: Yes it is, I heard Cecile the Seal talking about it.
TASH: You must have heard wrong.
DASH: No I didn’t, you can go and check yourself online.
TASH: I will then, I’m the master of information searches.
DASH: Hahaha, you, a master, hahaha.
